An arrest is the act of depriving a person of his or her liberty usually in relation to the purported investigation or prevention of crime and presenting (the arrestee) to a procedure as part of the criminal justice system. 30-2-50 (1976, as amended) obtaining or using public information for commercial solicitation is prohibited and is punishable by a fine of up to $500, imprisonment for one year, or both.
